The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) has recently appointed Dan Durham as their new Executive Vice President. Durham is expected to fill this new position as of January 18^th, 2016.

“Dan is a proven and respected leader in the health policy field and will be an important addition to BIO’s senior management team,” said Jim Greenwood, President & CEO of BIO. Prior to obtaining this new role with BIO, Durham has served many roles in the Biotech industry. Previously at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Durham served as interim CEO, as well as Executive Vice President Policy for Regulatory Affairs before most recently switching to the Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.

Before joining AHIP, Durham also served many major roles with Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
