The Institute for Immunology and Informatics (iCubed) at the Providence Campus of the University of Rhode Island seeks a talented, bioinformatics-trained individual to develop software, build databases and to analyze large biological datasets.  The position requires a bachelor’s  degree in the biological sciences, chemistry or math and two years of experience in computer programming or computational biology.  Additional requirements are: demonstrated experience in HTML-based application development with JavaScript and PHP (or similar languages);  demonstrated experience in scripting (Python, Perl, or similar languages) and software development (Java, C, or similar languages); demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, verbal and writing skills;  demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team setting.
